Savory Herb Roasted Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the chicken inside and out, then pat it dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, dried rosemary, dried thyme, dried sage, salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
- Rub the herb mixture all over the chicken, both inside and out.
- Stuff the chicken cavity with lemon slices.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
